Defence Ministers Assure Troops of Renewed Security Drive in Borno
The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, and Minister of State, Dr. Bello Matawalle, visited Maiduguri to review the security situation amid rising insurgent activity in the North-East. They were welcomed by Maj. Gen. A.E. Abubakar of Operation Hadin Kai and first called on the Shehu of Borno to offer condolences to the people of the state. At the Government House, they commended the state’s support for federal military operations and paid tribute to fallen soldiers at Maimalari Cantonment. During an operational briefing at the Theatre Command Headquarters, the ministers inspected new troop quarters and urged all personnel to intensify efforts for lasting peace under President Tinubu’s administration.
