Engr. Silva Ofugara Honoured for Youth and Community Service by Okpe Union Worldwide

Engr. Silva Ofugara received a prestigious award from Okpe Union Worldwide during the 96th Annual Okpe Union Day Celebration. The honour recognised his work in youth empowerment, community development and humanitarian outreach across the Okpe Kingdom. Leaders praised his role as sponsor of the Orodje of Okpe Football Tournament and founder of the Ofugara Give Back Initiative. They highlighted how his investments in sports and grassroots projects have fostered talent discovery, unity and social inclusion among young people. Speaking after the ceremony, Engr. Ofugara thanked the union and dedicated the award to God, his supporters and the many volunteers he has worked with. He urged all sons and daughters of the Okpe Kingdom—both at home and abroad—to return and invest in their communities for lasting progress. The event drew traditional rulers, community leaders and dignitaries from around the country. Attendees also commended the Delta State Governor for his developmental efforts, noting the pride he brings as an Okpe son.
