The Education Ministry has launched ESSVerify, a fully digital portal for verifying academic records. This new system replaces in-person visits and cuts down on paperwork and delays. To get started, create an account on the portal, upload clear scans of your documents and request that your institution sends transcripts directly from an official email. Pay the verification fee per page on the platform, then use the dashboard to track your application without any follow-up visits. Currently, ESSVerify covers all federal universities, polytechnics and colleges of education. State and private institutions will be onboarded in phases, so check for updates on the portal. This move is part of the government’s wider digital transformation agenda, aiming to streamline credential checks, improve data management and strengthen the integrity of academic records.
