The coalition praised the Attorney General for upholding constitutional principles and warned against baseless defamation by the Zenith Labour Party chairman. They insist public debate should be grounded in facts and legal arguments, not sensational claims. They emphasise that Section 225A of the Constitution cannot remain a decorative provision. Enforcing its thresholds will curb inactive parties, reduce election costs and strengthen democratic order. The coalition urged the court to provide clarity that will boost public confidence in Nigeria’s electoral framework.
