NDC Aspirant Agbonayinwa Says Defection Felt Like ‘Frying Pan to Hell Fire’

NDC Aspirant Agbonayinwa Says Defection Felt Like ‘Frying Pan to Hell Fire’

Ehiozuwa Agbonayinwa has voiced deep regrets over his decision to leave the All Progressives Congress for the Nigeria Democratic Congress. He likened the experience to moving from a frying pan into hell fire after contesting the Edo South senatorial primary. On Arise News, the former House of Representatives member claimed he legitimately won the primary but was subsequently denied access to the ballot. He also accused NDC national leader Seriake Dickson of encouraging him to buy nomination forms only to later deny any involvement. Agbonayinwa described the NDC’s direct primary as disorganised and unlike anything he experienced in the APC or PDP. He complained that contestants were held in a room for days without clarity on nomination outcomes.
