Rangers Insist on Record €40m Fee for Fernandez

Rangers could demand a record €40 million to sell centre-back Emmanuel Fernandez this summer, according to media reports. The 24-year-old has impressed in his debut Scottish Premiership season after joining from League One side Peterborough United. Fernandez has scored five goals in 21 league outings and earned his first Super Eagles call-up ahead of friendlies against Iran and Jordan. Elite clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been linked with the young defender. Rangers are said to have placed a €40 million price tag on Fernandez. They are prepared to reject any bids below their valuation, with the player under contract at Ibrox until 2029.
