‘Even a Corpse Would Outvote Tinubu in 2027,’ Says ADC’s Galadima

Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, warned that President Tinubu would lose the 2027 election under any circumstances. He said even a corpse placed on the ballot would defeat the president, highlighting his party’s frustrations at the ADC convention. He accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of trying to destroy opposition parties, including the PDP, SDP, NNPP, Labour Party, and ADC. He urged members to resist intimidation and stand firm against what he called a “mafioso” government. Galadima added that holding the convention despite alleged interference shows the ADC will not allow anyone to dictate how Nigerians should engage in politics.

Do you think Galadima's claim about a corpse outvoting Tinubu reflects genuine voter sentiment or just political rhetoric?

Galadima's claim seems over the top, e no dey add up when you consider Tinubu's actual support and voter turnout figures.

While frustrations run high, suggesting a corpse would win feels dismissive of genuine political debate and voter agency.

It might be more effective for ADC to focus on grassroots campaigns and clear policy proposals instead of sensational statements.
