Governor Siminalayi Fubara commended the NYSC Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD) at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Tai LGA. He highlighted the scheme’s positive impact on community healthcare services. Represented by the SSG and NYSC Governing Board Chairman, Dr. Dagogo Wokoma, he noted that the rising number of deployed corps members reflects public confidence in the state’s peace and progress. He urged the 2026 Batch A, Stream 11 corps members to maximise their orientation camp experiences in nation building. NYSC State Coordinator Moses Oleghe thanked the governor for his support and appealed for the urgent completion of a 1,000-bed hostel to ease accommodation challenges. A total of 3,665 corps members—1,328 males and 2,337 females—took the Oath of Allegiance under Justice Florence Fiberesima.
