Makeup Artist Defends Mayowa Lambe, Refutes Roby Ekpo’s Claims
Jennifer, a Nigerian makeup artist and close friend of Mayowa Lambe, has spoken out to clarify recent reports about the media personality’s separation from OAP Roby Ekpo. In her statement, Jennifer explained that Roby was aware their marriage had long ended and that the money he sent was for their joint saving scheme (Ajo), rent payments and other agreed expenses since 2018. She also revealed that a WhatsApp message Roby showcased in an interview was sent to a different friend in 2017 and was never hidden from him. Contrary to Roby’s narrative of being pursued by Mayowa, Jennifer said he had bombarded Mayowa’s social media posts before sending her his contact details. She added that Mayowa covered their rent and financed Roby’s move from Calabar to Lagos, and that both families knew the traditional marriage had dissolved.
