Okoye’s Masterclass Against AC Milan Earns Serie A Team of the Week Honor

Okoye’s Masterclass Against AC Milan Earns Serie A Team of the Week Honor

Maduka Okoye kept a flawless clean sheet in Udinese’s 3-0 win over AC Milan. He produced a confident and composed display to shut out one of Italy’s top sides. His commanding presence helped Udinese dominate the match. He now has eight clean sheets in 24 league appearances and achieved three straight shutouts for the first time since joining the club in 2023. Okoye features in this week’s Serie A Team of the Week alongside teammates Arthur Atta and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp. He joins other standouts such as Robin Gosens, Denzel Dumfries and Marcus Thuram. His form also earned him a recall to the Super Eagles squad. He hopes to secure more call-ups after recovering from a thigh injury that kept him out of the draw with Jordan.

Rewarding Okoye's masterclass feels premature; one good match no be guarantee of lasting impact.

Udinese should reinforce defensive drills this week, using their keeper's confidence as a foundation for consistent shutouts.
