Senegal Players Flaunt AFCON Trophy in Paris Despite CAF Ruling

Senegal’s national team surprised fans with a lap of honour at the Stade de France before their friendly against Peru. Captain Kalidou Coulibaly led teammates proudly circling the pitch with the Africa Cup of Nations trophy after a performance by music icon Youssou N’Dour. The parade came despite CAF’s decision to reverse the January final result and award Morocco a 3–0 win over Senegal. CAF cited the team’s 14-minute walk-off in protest at a penalty as grounds for the ruling. Senegal has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, while Morocco maintains the matter is closed.
