ANA Launches Nationwide Copyright Workshop Series for Nigerian Authors
The Association of Nigerian Authors is rolling out a capacity-building programme on copyright across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. The workshops will cover copyright protection, reproduction rights, royalties management and practical strategies for securing intellectual property in the literary and creative industries. The series begins in Ibadan on 18 and 19 June 2026, with sessions led by the Nigerian Copyright Commission and the Reproduction Rights Society of Nigeria. Subsequent regional workshops will take place in Abuja (26–27 June), Kano (2–3 July), Owerri (8–9 July) and Port Harcourt (10–11 July), followed by a nationwide chapter-level step-down training on 25 July. Authors, chapter leaders and members are encouraged to attend these free sessions to enhance their understanding of rights administration, maximize royalty benefits and strengthen the growth of Nigeria’s literary sector.
