Tinubu Approves Land in Abuja for Ambassadors to Strengthen Nigeria’s Diplomacy
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the allocation of land in Abuja for ambassadors-designate. The move aims to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic presence by giving envoys a permanent base in the capital. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike announced the decision during a meeting at the Life Camp residence. He explained that allocation forms will be available immediately to ensure returning envoys have a place to stay for official briefings. Wike urged diplomats to represent Nigeria well on the global stage and support the government’s economic diplomacy efforts. He also highlighted the capital’s rapid infrastructure growth across all area councils. The minister reassured that Nigeria remains a multi-party democracy and shared plans to explore partnerships with countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the European Commission to boost development cooperation.
