Moffi Confident Home-Based Eagles Are Ready for Unity Cup — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has praised the inclusion of seven NPFL players in the squad preparing in London for the upcoming Unity Cup. Head coach Eric Chelle has blended Europe-based stars with home-based talents from Shooting Stars, Ikorodu City, Rivers United and Enugu Rangers. Nineteen players are already training under his guidance. Moffi says the domestic players have impressed from the first session. He believes this mix of local and foreign talent will strengthen Nigeria as they open the tournament against Zimbabwe.

Moffi's confidence sounds promising, but blending home-based players with Europe-based stars isn't always smooth in high-stakes tournaments at this level.

A balanced approach could include extra joint training sessions in London to help NPFL players adapt quickly before the Unity Cup kicks off next week.
