Daily Devotional – 22 July 2026 In Judges 6:25, God asked Gideon to destroy his father’s altar to Baal before facing any enemy. This quiet act of obedience came under the cover of night and set the stage for his greater victory. True advancement often starts where it’s hardest to be seen—in your own home, habits, and relationships. Fear may drive you to hide your obedience, but progress is not the absence of fear. It is moving forward despite it. What compromises or “Baal altars” remain in your life that God is calling you to tear down? Prayer Lord, give me courage to remove every hidden altar of compromise in my household. Help me to advance first where it matters most, even when no one is watching.
