President Tinubu Returns to Abuja, Hosts Key Leaders and Prepares for 2027 Race
President Bola Tinubu landed at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday evening after observing Eid-el-Kabir festivities in Lagos. He was welcomed by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, NSA Nuhu Ribadu, IGP Tunji Disu and other senior officials. During his holiday, he received Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senate leadership, governors’ forum executives and APC candidates who paid Sallah homage. In Lagos, Tinubu attended the Nigerian Navy’s 70th anniversary fleet review, inaugurated three new naval vessels and met with Benin’s President Romuald Wadagni to bolster regional ties. He also voted in the APC primaries and secured endorsement as the party’s 2027 presidential candidate.
