Nasarawa Police Bust Six Suspects, Seize Pistols During Eid Security Sweep

Police in Nasarawa State arrested six suspects and recovered two pistols along with other dangerous weapons during intensified Eid-el-Kabir security patrols. In Lafia, a Violent Crime Response Unit team intercepted three men carrying a fabricated Beretta pistol, live 9mm ammunition and four mobile phones. They remain in custody as investigations continue to map their network. Later, a patrol unit acting on a distress call in Bukan Kwato ward apprehended three youths and recovered a locally made pistol, an axe and a red beret linked to alleged cult activity. The state commissioner commended officers’ professionalism and urged residents to stay vigilant and share credible information.
