Biodun Oyebanji Re-elected Governor of Ekiti, Breaks State’s Second-Term Jinx
Governor Biodun Oyebanji has secured a second consecutive term in Ekiti State after winning the governorship election announced by INEC in Ado-Ekiti on 21 June 2026. Oyebanji polled 319,224 votes across all 16 local government areas. His closest rival, PDP’s Wole Oluyede, scored 40,543 votes, while ADC candidate Oluwadare Bejide finished third with 12,872 votes.
