The Youth Wing of the Anambra State Town Unions Council (ASTUC) honoured eight individuals from the communities of Bar, Igbakwu, Umumbo, Umueje, Anaku, Omor, Umerum and Ifite Ogwari for their outstanding leadership and service. Special recognition was given to the House of Representatives member for Oyi/Ayamelum and the Mayor of Ayamelum Local Government Area for their contributions to community development. In his address, the Governor’s representative praised the role models and urged youths to support state programmes and maintain peace. The Ministry of Youth Development highlighted the ‘One Youth, Two Skills’ initiative as a key opportunity for young people. The ASTUC Youth President explained the annual selection process designed to promote integrity and service. Cultural performances and the launch of a community music album rounded off the event.
