Ogun Surveyors Lead Nationwide Valuation Drive to Boost Economic Growth
Estate surveyors and valuers across Nigeria have launched a nationwide advocacy to raise awareness of professional valuation practices. During the 2026 National Valuation Day, members of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers held rallies in major cities under the theme “Unlocking Nigeria’s Wealth: How Valuation Builds Our Prosperity.” In Abeokuta, Ogun State, these professionals embarked on a sensitization walk to highlight how accurate asset valuation underpins investment planning, taxation, and sustainable development. They urged Nigerians to rely on certified valuations rather than informal assessments in property and asset transactions. Estate Surveyor Ajibola Akinwande explained that professionally valuing land, infrastructure and other assets provides the data governments, businesses and individuals need for sound decision-making. He described valuation as a strategic tool for unlocking dormant economic resources and driving long-term national prosperity.
