A New Hope for Anambra Central: Rev’d Canon Tochukwu’s Senate Bid

A New Hope for Anambra Central: Rev’d Canon Tochukwu’s Senate Bid

Rev’d Canon Tochukwu has announced his run for the Anambra Central Senate seat in 2027 under the Labour Party. Known for years of ministry and community service, he brings calm confidence and a clear vision to the political arena. Anambra Central—covering Awka North, Awka South, Njikoka, Anaocha, Idemili North, Idemili South and Dunukofia—is rich in talent but struggles with youth unemployment, weak infrastructure, and limited healthcare and education. Tochukwu vows to be a strong voice for the voiceless and to champion real, lasting improvements. His agenda prioritizes skills training, job creation, and small-business support. He also plans to push for better federal roads, reliable electricity, clean water and stronger digital access to unlock the district’s potential. Committed to education, healthcare, agriculture and security, he calls for transparent leadership and community partnerships. Guided by faith and integrity, his servant-leadership style aims to unite people, solve problems and deliver hope across Anambra Central.
