Edinson Cavani Terminates Boca Juniors Deal at 39
Veteran Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani has mutually ended his contract with Boca Juniors at the age of 39. He and the club agreed to part ways after recurring injuries limited him to just two appearances this season. Cavani joined Boca in 2023, scoring 28 goals in 81 matches. He previously featured for Manchester United from 2020 to 2022, netting 19 goals in 59 games. Off the pitch, Cavani plans to balance playing with helping run his award-winning wine brand, launched earlier this year. On the international stage, he scored 58 goals in 136 appearances for Uruguay, making him the nation’s second-highest scorer behind Luis Suárez.
