Simi Pledges Everything for Daughter Deja’s 6th Birthday
Nigerian singer Simi is celebrating her daughter, Deja, as she turns six. In a heartfelt message, she vowed to die for her, live for her, light up the world for her and even burn it down if she had to. She promised that Deja will never doubt her love—calling it the brightest, strongest and most unconditional in the universe. Referring to her as “my little Boogie” and “my little bestie,” Simi said her daughter means everything to her. Earlier this year, Simi shared a sweet video of Deja reciting a poem for her husband, Adekunle Gold, on his birthday. Over the years, she’s marked each milestone by describing her mini-me as her light, heart, joy and beautiful fireball. Adekunle Gold has also publicly celebrated his daughter, saying he loved her even before she was born. The couple married in 2019 and welcomed Deja in 2020.
