NSCDC Highlights Its Unique Role in National Security at Strategic Workshop

The Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has reaffirmed the Corps’ indispensable role in protecting critical national assets, managing disasters, gathering intelligence and engaging communities. He made the remarks at the opening of a two-day workshop on operational deliverables and research methodology. Professor Audi emphasised the adoption of research methodology and digitalisation as vital tools for evidence-based decision-making aligned with presidential priorities. He urged officers to complement field competence with analytical skills to address contemporary security challenges and drive visible improvements in service delivery. Attended by representatives from all 36 state commands, the FCT and national headquarters units, the training covered strategic communication, advanced report writing and institutional best practices. Newly appointed CTRI desk officers were formally inducted and administered the Oath of Allegiance.
