Sparks Fly in Kogi PDP as Youth Leader Accuses Elders of Extortion
A fresh rift has emerged within the PDP in Kogi State. Party stakeholder Michael Samuel Idoko has disputed the authority of the Kogi East PDP Elders Council and accused its members of extortion and hidden agendas during elections. Idoko described the group as “faceless individuals” lacking constitutional standing. He defended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s outreach efforts and warned against regional divisions. He emphasised that zoning arrangements must follow established party channels and rejected claims of candidate imposition as unfounded. He urged colleagues to resolve disputes through internal mechanisms and to maintain party discipline. According to him, the PDP functions through clear rules and structures, not opportunistic interventions.
