Court Approves El-Rufai’s Dental and Eye Treatment in Abuja Under ICPC Supervision
A Federal High Court in Kaduna has approved former Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s request to receive dental and eye treatment in Abuja while in custody. The court ordered the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to escort him to Mile Dental Clinic and Skipper Eye-Q Hospital as needed, under strict supervision and with immediate return to custody after treatment. El-Rufai and Joel Adoga, arraigned on fraud and money laundering charges on March 24, pleaded not guilty. His bail conditions—₦200 million with two sureties—were varied pending a May 7 ruling.
