Brentford defender Michael Kayode has earned a spot on the eight-man shortlist for the Premier League Young Player of the Season. The 21-year-old has featured in 35 league matches this term, scoring once and providing one assist. His long throw-ins have also proved a potent weapon for the Bees. Kayode joined Brentford on loan from Serie A side Fiorentina in January, with the London club making the transfer permanent last summer.
