Onne Customs Command Records N258.2B Revenue, Seizes 17 Containers Worth N2B in Four Months
The Nigeria Customs Service Area 11 Command at Onne Port Harcourt has reported unprecedented revenue generation of N258.2 billion from January to April 2026. In April alone, the command posted a record monthly haul of N77.3 billion. During the period, officers intercepted 17 containers linked to illicit trade with a total Duty Paid Value of N2.07 billion. Notable seizures include a 40-foot container disguised as plumbing materials, nine 40-foot containers carrying fabrics and tools, six 20-foot containers of refined vegetable oil, and one container hiding unregistered drugs. The Command’s controller emphasized the service’s commitment to enforcing fiscal policies, combating smuggling, and facilitating lawful trade at the port. He also commended the leadership support from the Customs’ top management and the professionalism of officers who contributed to these achievements.
