Anambra CP Lauds Federal Polytechnic Oko’s Tranquil Campus
Anambra State Police Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu paid a courtesy visit to Federal Polytechnic Oko’s Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, to commend the institution’s peaceful atmosphere. Orutugu praised the polytechnic’s long history of producing notable alumni and credited the Rector’s humility, discipline and deep understanding of campus dynamics for the serene environment. He noted that security improvements under his command have made Anambra safer since he assumed office. Dr. Awuzie welcomed the Commissioner and thanked him for his efforts, highlighting that the institution now sleeps soundly at night. She reaffirmed the polytechnic’s ongoing cooperation with the police to sustain campus safety. The visit was hosted by the Students Union Government, and senior polytechnic officials including the Deputy Rector (Administration), the Registrar and the Director of Academic Planning were in attendance.
