Ukraine Captures Russian Position Using Only Unmanned Robots
Ukraine’s president announced the first capture of an enemy position by ground robots and drones alone. No infantry were involved and no Ukrainian troops were put at risk. The operation saw Russian soldiers surrender to unmanned systems. These robots can perform assaults, evacuate wounded, detect mines, carry supplies and scout ahead. Over 280 Ukrainian firms now build ground vehicles. Kyiv aims to produce more than 20,000 UGVs this year, each costing under £22,000, with missions reaching up to 31 miles. Military leaders say unmanned complexes completed 50% more tasks in March. Some units are dedicated solely to robot operations, freeing soldiers from the most dangerous missions.
