NNPP Pushes Deadline for 2027 Nomination Forms to May 17
The New Nigeria Peoples Party has extended its timeline for selling and receiving 2027 election nomination forms by one week. Originally set to open on May 10 and close the same day, the party’s Board of Trustees approved shifting the deadline to May 17. The change follows a delay by INEC in uploading the party’s official leadership logo. Prospective aspirants now have extra time to collect and submit forms. Fees range from ₦500,000 for State Assembly candidates to ₦5 million for the presidency. Women, persons with disabilities, and incumbents seeking re-election will not be charged or will receive automatic tickets. Screening will proceed as scheduled despite the extension.
