Baba-Ahmed Vows to Oust Tinubu in 2027 Election

Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, says he will work to prevent President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. In a recent television interview, he denied claims that he still supports Tinubu despite having served as his special adviser on political matters. He insisted that he served in Tinubu’s administration, not for him personally. “I will work to get Tinubu out of the presidential seat because I think he is bad news for Nigeria’s future,” he said. On the chances of an opposition coalition defeating the ruling party, Baba-Ahmed argued that poor governance and anti-democratic practices have weakened the APC. He believes Nigerians’ discontent with rising insecurity, poverty and political exclusion could pave the way for a change of government in 2027.
