Morocco Eyes 2026 WAFCON and 2030 World Cup Preparations After CAF AFCON Ruling
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has announced plans to focus on upcoming tournaments after CAF stripped Senegal of the 2025 AFCON title. The ruling followed Senegal’s 17-minute walk-off in the final against Morocco. The FRMF welcomed the decision as a reinforcement of competition rules. It stressed that its appeal aimed solely to uphold regulations, not to question any team’s performance. With the appeal process complete, Morocco now turns its attention to hosting the rescheduled Women’s Africa Cup of Nations from July 25 to August 16, 2026, and to preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
