1 / 2

The Akpua family has officially handed over the Samuel Akpua Memorial Complex to St. Paul Catholic Church in Abba. The new facility sits within St. Ann’s Hospital and Maternity at Amabor Village, Njikoka LGA. Equipped with dialysis care, maternity wards, diagnostic labs, and outpatient services, the complex will improve access to quality healthcare for local residents. It stands as a tribute to the late Samuel Akpua and reflects the family’s commitment to community welfare. Governor Chukwuma Soludo performed the commissioning, praising the project as a model of purposeful public-private-community partnership. He highlighted its alignment with his administration’s drive to boost infrastructure through collaboration. In his speech, Hon. Jude Akpua thanked God, the Church, and community members for their support. He reaffirmed his dedication to grassroots development and socio-economic progress in Anambra State.

It's great to see a facility added at St. Ann's Hospital, but I dey wonder if staffing levels and equipment maintenance were fully considered.

Don't get me wrong, handing over to the church is noble, but relying solely on St. Paul Catholic Church's resources might limit future upgrades.

Consider scheduling community health outreach at the new complex, showcasing diagnostic labs and maternity services to encourage wider patient engagement.
