Community Leaders and Stakeholders Break Ground on Ewekoro CDC Secretariat in Wasimi
The Ewekoro Zonal Community Development Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 21 for its new ultramodern secretariat behind the Wasimi Main Market in Ogun State. Led by Chief Servant Success Beloved Ogooluwa (Plasm 24) and represented locally by the Supervisor for Works and the Supervisor for Women Affairs, the event drew government officials, community practitioners, and development stakeholders. The State Council PRO, Comrade Oluwaseun Oke, commended the visionary nature of the project and urged collective support for its completion. Former and current Directors of Community and Social Development, Folasade Olakanmi and Moyinoluwa Adeuyi, praised the Local Government Chairman for securing and preserving the land. They pledged continued assistance to ensure the secretariat serves grassroots practitioners across the zone. Stakeholders—including the Iyaloja of Wasimi and leaders from various CDC areas—laid symbolic building blocks to mark shared ownership. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer and a call for outstanding contributions to be settled promptly to avoid project delays.
