Dunukofia Leaders Urge Political Parties to Zone 2027 DNA Seat to Their LGA
Stakeholders from Dunukofia Local Government Area in Anambra State have written an open appeal to national leaders of major parties. They want the 2027 House of Representatives ticket for the Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha constituency reserved for Dunukofia, citing 28 years of imbalance. They note that Njikoka and Anaocha have alternated representation, leaving Dunukofia without a federal lawmaker despite its active electoral participation. Traditional rulers and community heads, led by Igwe Dr. Robert Eze of Ukpo, say this marginalisation has created a feeling of exclusion among their people. Dunukofia leaders report positive consultations with Njikoka and Anaocha counterparts, who support a rotational arrangement. They argue that zoning the next ticket to Dunukofia will enhance fairness, unity and democratic inclusion across the constituency.
