McGregor Praises Iheanacho’s Last-Gasp Penalty to Beat Motherwell
Celtic captain Callum McGregor has hailed Kelechi Iheanacho after the Nigeria international coolly slotted home a stoppage-time penalty in a 3-2 win over Motherwell at Fir Park. With the match heading for a draw, a VAR review awarded Celtic a late spot-kick. Iheanacho kept his composure to fire into the bottom corner and spark wild celebrations in the travelling support. This was Iheanacho’s eighth goal of the season and his contribution has put Celtic firmly in control as they head into Saturday’s winner-takes-all clash with Hearts at Celtic Park.
