Broos Warns Bafana to Brace for South Korea’s 90-Minute Marathon Run

Broos Warns Bafana to Brace for South Korea’s 90-Minute Marathon Run

South Africa coach Hugo Broos has urged his Bafana Bafana squad to prepare for a relentless South Korea side at the World Cup. After holding Czech Republic to a 1-1 draw, Broos says South Korea will match Mexico’s intensity with constant running. Broos described the Koreans as “disciplined” and likened their stamina to Duracell batteries that never stop. He expects a tactical battle focused on organisation and endurance rather than physicality alone. South Africa will also be without key midfielder Teboho Mokoena, who sits out after picking up his second yellow card. Themba Zwane is also suspended, making the clash even tougher as Bafana chase their first-ever World Cup knockout berth.

Bafana might rotate midfielders more often to conserve energy, focus on pressing selectively instead of chasing every ball upfield.
