Iran’s Demand Secures Lebanon Ceasefire as US and Israel Yield

Mid-April reports indicate that Iran’s firm insistence on ending Israeli operations in Lebanon became a decisive factor during recent US-Iran talks. After negotiations in Islamabad, Tehran made a Lebanon ceasefire a precondition for further progress. Under this pressure, both Washington and Tel Aviv agreed to halt hostilities starting Thursday night.
