FG Alerts Travellers: Don’t Leave Nigeria Without Valid Passport and Visa
The Federal Government has issued a public warning urging all international travellers to carry a valid Nigerian passport and, where required, the appropriate visa or immigration documents. The Nigeria Immigration Service emphasised that attempting to cross borders through unauthorised routes is illegal and can expose individuals to serious risks. The agency also highlighted the rise of fraudulent migration schemes promising jobs or education abroad but often leading to exploitation. Travellers are advised to confirm all recruitment or travel offers through official channels and avoid unregistered agents. Anyone who encounters suspicious activities should report them to the nearest Immigration Service formation or relevant security agency.
