Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse has been stripped of her title, barely a month after winning the pageant, following the resurfacing of alleged racist social media posts. Pageant organisers said they reached the decision after reviewing the information and citing their duty to protect the integrity of the title. Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur said the organisation does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia or language that degrades others. The posts, reportedly made between 2017 and 2019 under an alias, allegedly contained racial slurs. Boltinhouse reportedly apologised, but organisers said the apology did not change their decision.
