Why the Federal Government Must Question Mufti Iwo, Oluwo of Iwo and Muric Leader

The federal government should invite Mufti Iwo, the Oluwo of Iwo and the head of Muric for investigation over recent calls for shariah enforcement and weapons training in the South West. They have repeatedly urged madrasa students to learn weapon use, sworn allegiance to jihadist causes and even welcomed controversial cleric calls that threaten regional peace. Their statements undermine religious harmony in a multi-faith region. This is a warning before things spiral out of control. The South West belongs to all faiths, and no group can hold it to ransom. Government action now can prevent vigilantism or civil unrest.

What consequences should the federal government face if Mufti Iwo's calls for weapons training go unchecked?

True talk. FG no fit fold arms, failure to act go embolden dangerous training.

It's odd that calls for shariah enforcement and weapons training are surfacing only in South West, not in other regions.

I'm not convinced an invitation to question him will change anything when enforcement mechanisms remain so weak and inconsistent.

The government could establish a monitoring committee for all religious schools, ensuring curricula focus on peace education rather than combat training.
