Nollywood Actress Seiilat Adeyemo Mourns Father’s Passing

Nollywood Actress Seiilat Adeyemo Mourns Father’s Passing — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Actress Seiilat Adebola Adeyemo is in mourning after the loss of her father. The sad news was shared on a popular Yoruba entertainment blog and fans immediately offered their condolences. Social media messages poured in, with many praying for the late father’s soul to rest in peace. Fellow celebrities also took to their pages to share sympathy and support. This follows a series of recent bereavements in Nollywood. Actor Mofe Duncan, filmmaker Chinney Love and Davido’s aide Israel DMW have all lost parents in the past few weeks. Earlier this year, Timini Egbuson and sister Dakore Akande lost their father, while comedian Alibaba, BBNaija star Liquorose, Faithia Williams and actress Lizzy Gold each mourned the passing of a parent.

Do you really believe public sympathy helps her heal, or might it actually make grieving harder?

I understand the thought, but it's unfair to assume she has to broadcast all her grief publicly.

It's interesting how fans rush to offer condolences online, but actions rarely follow after the initial outpouring.

Fans and friends could organise a charity or memorial project to honour her father's legacy instead of just liking posts.
