Manuel Neuer Commits to Bayern Munich Until 2027 with One-Year Extension
Bayern Munich icon Manuel Neuer has signed a one-year contract extension, tying him to the club through the 2026–27 season. The 40-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire this summer, but he insisted extending was a “clear decision,” confident Bayern can challenge any opponent with the current squad. Since his move from Schalke in 2011, Neuer has won two Champions League titles and a record 13 Bundesliga crowns. A 2014 World Cup winner and former Ballon d’Or top-three goalkeeper, he continues to deliver at the highest level, most recently earning Man of the Match in Bayern’s Champions League quarter-final win over Real Madrid. The new deal also paves the way for backup keepers Jonas Urbig and Sven Ulreich to develop under his guidance.
