Chelsea fell 1-0 to Manchester City at Wembley as Antoine Semenyo’s flick sealed City’s victory and a second domestic cup of the season. City bounced back from defeats in the previous two finals to claim their eighth FA Cup overall. Opta records show Chelsea have now become the first team since Leicester (1949–1969) to lose four FA Cup finals in a row. Reece James also equalled Paul Bracewell’s unwanted mark by appearing in and losing all four matches. The Blues last won the trophy in 2018 when Eden Hazard’s penalty edged out Manchester United.
