ADC Rift: Bala Nafiu Alleges Forged Signature and Ouster

ADC Rift: Bala Nafiu Alleges Forged Signature and Ouster

I chaired the ADC meeting alongside our only elected NASS representative from Kogi State. We welcomed everyone in good faith, but the leadership betrayed our trust and the party constitution. They forged my signature, then expelled me, the NASS rep, and other loyal executives. I even asked for the deputy national chairman role, but it went to Babachir Lawal instead. Lawal dismissed my candidacy, asking, “How can Nafiu Bala, a small boy, become National Vice Chairman in a zone with a former Vice President and former SGF?” I’m 37; he’s 71.

How did the ADC leadership justify expelling you and the NASS rep after allegedly forging your signatures in that meeting?

I agree that their explanation needs to be clear before anyone accepts those expulsions.

The timing of this alleged signature forgery right after a leadership reshuffle raises questions about underlying power struggles within the party.

I no dey convinced say forging signature alone explain all these moves; internal politics fit be the real driving force here.

To prevent similar disputes, the party must implement transparent verification for executive decisions and independent audit of meeting records.
