House Approves $516m Deutsche Bank Loan to Fund Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway

Nigeria’s House of Representatives has approved a $516.3 million syndicated loan from Deutsche Bank. The funds will finance key sections of the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway. The approval followed a report by the House Committee on Aids, Loans and Debt Management presented by Abdullahi Rasheed. It covers Sections 1, 1A and 1B of the planned 1,000-kilometre route. Once completed, the highway will link the North-West to the South-West, passing through Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Oyo and Ogun states.
