Akon Hails Nigerians as ‘World’s Most Intelligent People’

Senegalese-American singer Akon has praised Nigerians for their creativity and achievements in music. He described them as the most intelligent people on the planet during a recent podcast appearance. On the We Need To Talk podcast, Akon also reflected on working with the late Michael Jackson. He called his photo with Jackson the proudest moment of his career and spoke of Jackson as an idol. Akon highlighted his commitment to African music through his work with Empire Mates Entertainment. He noted that he helped sign Nigerian Afrobeats stars such as P-Square and Wizkid. “You have done amazingly well with Afrobeats,” he said. “Nigerians are the most intelligent people on the planet.”
