MDCN Warns New Doctors Against Practising Without Full Registration

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria has issued a stern warning to doctors practising without a full registration certificate, labeling it a criminal offence. Any practitioner found operating on an expired provisional registration faces disciplinary action. The Registrar delivered this caution at the induction ceremony for 35 medical graduates at Gregory University, Uturu. Doctors are urged to obtain their full registration immediately after completing their internship. The Council emphasized that any report of unprofessional conduct will be thoroughly investigated. All regulated agencies and the general public are monitoring compliance closely.

Medical graduates should track their registration status regularly and renew certificates well before expiry to avoid legal trouble.
