Nollywood stars have paid heartfelt tributes to the late Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom in Ogun State, Dr. Oba Yisa Sola Adeniyi Olaniyan, who passed away on June 27 at age 55 following surgical complications. Seyi Edun expressed shock and offered prayers for his family’s comfort. TAMPAN president Mr Latin praised the monarch’s humility and generosity, recalling how the king supported his work. Actress Akin Boss remembered him as a brother who welcomed her, opened doors in a foreign land, and made every journey easier. Installed as the 46th Onipokia in 2020 after 23 years in the United States, the late king was known for promoting development in Ipokia Kingdom and championing the creative industry. His legacy of kindness and service will be deeply missed.

I respect the tributes, but I find it odd we focus on royal ceremonies without questioning what happened in the operating theatre.
